Acceptable Use Policy
What is allowed
This is a tool for real film production. Artistic and professional nudity is permitted: intimacy scenes, life reference, fashion, documentary reality. Violence within fiction, weapons, injuries and difficult subject matter are normal working material. We do not moralise about lawful creative work.
What is never allowed
Zero tolerance, and UK law is the floor:
- Any sexual content involving minors, real or generated, in any style, including drawn or animated material.
- Intimate images of any real person shared without their consent.
- "Extreme pornography" as defined by UK law.
- Content promoting terrorism or inciting violence or hatred against protected groups.
- Content you do not have the right to use, where the rightsholder complains: we operate a normal notice-and-takedown for copyright. Write to support@storybrdr.com.
- Using the Service to harass a real person.
A breach means the content is removed. Serious or illegal material means the account is suspended and, where the law requires, reported to the authorities. Lawful-but-borderline material gets human review and a conversation, not a robot ban.
How the safety system works
Every uploaded image receives an automated safety check, described in full in the Privacy Policy. Nudity alone is never a flag. An image can be in one of four states:
- Clear, which is almost every image, and nothing happens.
- Held for review: the image stays visible to its owner but is left out of share links and exports until a person has looked at it, normally within one working day.
- Blocked: only for suspected child sexual abuse material where the model expresses no doubt. The image is withheld from everyone, including the uploader, immediately, and a person follows.
- Unscanned: the image could not be read, an unusual format or a failure at our end. It stays visible to its owner with a badge explaining why, and is left out of share links and exports until a reading exists. This is fail-closed by design: an image nobody has checked is not shown to a client.
Every hold can be appealed, from the image itself or by email. A person reads every appeal, normally within one working day. The machine can hide a picture; only a person can remove one.
Reporting
Every shared board carries a report link, and anyone can use it without an account. A person reads every report, usually within one working day. You can also write to support@storybrdr.com.
