Moving over from another tool
Honest answer first: there is no one-click import, from Boords or anywhere else. A guided importer is on the list. Most people are moved in an afternoon anyway, and this is the clean way to do it.
The practical route
- Get your images out of the old tool, or better, gather the originals from wherever they came from. They are usually higher quality than the copies the old tool made.
- Upload the lot to your library in one go. Everything is described automatically as it lands, so nothing gets lost: searching "kitchen" finds the kitchen months later.
- Rebuild the boards that are alive using the frame picker, which can pull from everything you have ever uploaded. With the images already in place this is minutes per board, not hours.
What not to migrate
Finished, delivered projects can stay where they are, as PDFs. Migrate the work that is still moving: your next job, not your archive.
The best migration is starting your next real project here and letting the old subscription expire quietly.
