Landscape or portrait
Both are one choice at export time and both carry the full pack.
Landscape
Frames sit larger, three across on a medium page. Best when the pack will be read on a screen, or pinned up as reference.
Portrait
Two across, with more room under each frame for notes. Many directors find it the better page-turner in the hand, and it clips more naturally to an A4 clipboard.
Vertical projects
A 9:16 project flips the logic. Its frames are tall, so a landscape page suits them best: four or six across, reading like a filmstrip. Portrait pages for a vertical project pack two or three across instead.
