How scene detection works
The importer reads your script roughly the way a first AD does.
What it looks for
- Sluglines (the INT./EXT. lines) become scenes, in order, named from the location.
- Action blocks between sluglines suggest a shot count. A montage paragraph suggests more frames than a single look does.
- Dialogue is kept with its scene and shown in the script view.
Suggestions, not decisions
Before anything is created you see the breakdown: one card per scene with an editable shot count. Nothing exists until you press Create board, and everything is editable afterwards.
The frames arrive empty of images, carrying their scene, their description and their lines. Filling them is the next job.
